Welcome to the 2027 Season
On behalf of our entire team and coaching staff, I want to welcome you to our upcoming season. Our belief is that we’ll continue to learn the game of softball and compete each day. We look forward to you joining us.

Student-Athlete Paperwork
Every student-athlete must submit the proper athletic paperwork prior to the beginning of the season. This includes reviewing the athletic code, filling out the proper permission forms and getting a physical. This paperwork is available on the high school athletic website.
Winter Workout Program
Our winter workout program is on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 4:00 PM on the SLVHS softball field and weight room. These workouts are not specific to softball and will improve overall fitness for all athletes. We focus on overall strength, flexibility and injury prevention. Workouts begin the first Tuesday or Thursday in November and continue through the third week of January.
Spring Softball
The 2027 Softball tryouts begin February 1st at 3:15 PM on the high school softball field. Athletes should come prepared with proper softball gear including athletic shoes, cleats (rubber or metal), glove, full length pants. If you need help with these items we have a selection of equipment from past seasons available for use.
Fall Sports
We encourage all of our student-athletes to participate in other sports during the fall and winter seasons. We feel that you become a better athlete by playing multiple sports, and an athlete who participates in different sports gains the perspectives and values unique to each. We feel there is a lower risk of overuse injuries and burnout when playing multiple sports.
Join Us
We hope you’ll join us. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
