Inside the Park Home Run Audrey Jouglet @ Harbor
Audrey Jouglet collected three hits in four at bats, as San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars defeated Harbor 13-1 on Tuesday. Jouglet hit an inside the park home run in the sixth inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars first got on the board when Grace Purtscher singled, scoring one run.
San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars added four more runs in the top of the second inning on three hits. Angie Fulkerson homered to left field, scoring three runs, and an error scored one run.
San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars scored six runs on seven hits in the top of the sixth inning. Jouglet hit a solo inside the park home run, Purtscher singled, scoring one run, Olive Colby singled, scoring one run, Abi Krepelka doubled, scoring one run, and Cheyenne Owen doubled, scoring two runs.
Bailey Filice earned the win for San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars. The pitcher surrendered one hit and one run (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none. Hana Pomrantz took the loss for Harbor. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up 13 runs (eight earned) on 16 hits, striking out four and walking two. Savanah Robertson and Elie Colby each came on in relief for San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars and shutdown Harbor.
San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars amassed 16 hits in the game. Fulkerson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Jouglet and Filice each collected three hits for San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars. Krepelka and Purtscher each collected multiple hits for San Lorenzo Valley Varsity Cougars.
Lily DeFelice led the team with one run batted in. Sofia Monroe went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Harbor in hits. Harbor had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game.
