Thursday’s game against Sobrato High School was a tough loss for SLV, as they lost the lead late in a 4-2 defeat. The game was tied at two with Sobrato batting in the bottom of the sixth when Molly Orman singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
The Cougars lost despite out-hitting Sobrato four to three.
Sobrato evened things up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Julie Martin pitched Sobrato to victory. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Madison Reger took the loss for SLV. She allowed three hits and four runs over six innings, striking out five.
Lexi Parish started the game for Sobrato. He surrendered two runs on two hits over five innings, striking out four
Alura Neill led the Cougars with two hits in three at bats.
