SLV evened things up at two in the top of the second inning. Anaya Sutcliffe grounded out, scoring two runs.
Amelia Sizemore got the win for SLV. The righthander surrendered two runs on four hits over two innings, striking out two and walking one. Abigale Krepelka threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Miranda Gonzalez took the loss for Soledad Varsity Aztecs. The bulldog surrendered three runs on four hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one.
The Cougars socked one home run on the day. Renouf put one out in the third inning.
SLV Varsity tallied 14 hits. Renouf, Jori Fields-Rapley, and Sutcliffe all collected multiple hits for SLV Varsity. Renouf led SLV Varsity with three hits in three at bats.
