
Jalie Edgemon threw a shutout to lead SLV past Harbor 15-0 on Thursday.
In the first inning, the Cougars got their offense started. They scored one run when Zoe Mendez singled.
The Cougars scored seven runs in the third inning. Jami Van Eyck, Madison Reger, Katrina Heinemann, Melia Hall, Kristen Miller, and Edgemon all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
One bright spot for Harbor was a single by S Lehmen in the third inning.
Edgemon earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for SLV. She lasted five innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out eight.
Kelly took the loss for Harbor. She lasted five innings, allowing 13 hits and 15 runs.
SLV racked up 13 hits. Van Eyck, Mendez, Alura Neill, Edgemon, and Heinemann each managed multiple hits for SLV’s Varsity squad. Van Eyck led with three hits in five at bats. The Cougars were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Van Eyck had the most chances in the field with eight.
